HD-TVs seem to not be well constructed for computer access. Getting a scan converter can cost thousands for DVI based TVs. This leads to overscan issues when you hook up a computer to an older HD-TV. And then is the fact that progressive scan seems to be necessary to get decent quality on text that is 18 point or smaller on 1080 pixels. The cost of progressive scan is too much presently. In a couple years maybe it will improve, but Apple's displays are still more expensive than that. I can't wait to get a 60 inch OLED screen that has 1080p or better for $500.

Cell phone subscriptions make no sense for those of us who make less than 65 calls a month. Pay as you go costs even more than land lines even with this setup. Until such costs come down, those of us who don't want to pay for services not used, the cell phone industry will have a problem. Worse is if water damages your cell phone, you may be stuck for months without another cell phone if you can't afford the cost of an unlocked phone. They should find a better way to make those cheap phones water proof.
